KIMMA not joining PPP says real president

*************************************************************************************
"Indian Muslim" is not new race at all. They origin is India as other Indians in Malaysia. I do not see the point that they still want to join UMNO instead of MIC or PPP. They will not change as Malays overnight! It will be taking light years to see "UNITED MALAYSIA" which has people living with one entity regardless racial differences.

After all the brouhaha over KIMMA joining PPP, now we know KIMMA have a crisis. a person who claims to be President and who was kicked out of KIMMA is the one who made the initial statement.

KIMMA has made its stand that it is ‘100% Muslim party” and would only join UMNO. But isn’t UMNO for Malays only? Why not join MIC? I mean you can be an Indian and still be a Muslim, no? But you definitely can’t change from an Indian into a Malay overnight. It would take few generations, I guess.

No talks, says the real Kimma head

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress (Kimma) has dismissed news reports that it approached People’s Progressive Party (PPP) president Datuk M. Kayveas with a proposal for a merger.

Kimma president Syed Ibrahim Kader said Amir Amsaa Alla Pitchay, who had claimed to be Kimma president and had approached Kayveas, had been expelled from the congress in February last year for disciplinary reasons.

As such, Amir had no right to act on behalf for Kimma, he added.

He denied the reports which said the PPP president had met Kimma to discuss the merger.

Syed Ibrahim, who lodged a police report at the Dang Wangi police station yesterday, said Amir’s actions had tarnished Kimma’s reputation, and hampered its continuing efforts to gain admission into the Barisan Nasional.

“I had countless telephone calls from Kimma members from all over the country, who were angry over the news reports, ” he said at the Kimma headquarters here yesterday.

“Our stand has been clear in past resolutions made during our annual general meetings. Kimma is a 100% Muslim party and our members wish to join Umno,” he said.
