Datuk Zaid Ibrahim (de facto Law Minister)

"I faced a brick wall! I can't translate or make them understand the basic thing that we are a country that is fair to all races, we have the same rights under the federal constitution.

Datuk Zaid Ibrahim will not change his mind about quitting as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, saying he has failed to reform the legal system.

" Thumbs-up for Zaid.. I salute you Datuk Zaid (a decent politician whom takes responsibility when he could not deliver his promises. Hope the "brick wall" will be broken the soonest!" :-)

Muhyiddin Yassin

Asked about Anwar's request to meet Abdullah, Muhyiddin exclaimed: "No! There is no need for him to meet the prime minister. Don't be fooled by Anwar. Don't fall into the trap, he has something up his sleeve.

"Meanwhile, the Umno vice-president also stressed that the defection plan should not involve the king.

"Mr.Minister, How Anwar could form goverment if you say the transistion should not involve Abdullah (Prime Minister) and the king too? I do not see your point here. Prime Minister should meet Anwar to conform whether he is telling truth or otherwise? How come he could claims Anwar is lier without meeting him? Does he or you have time machine to know the future? :-) "

Malaysian Ringgit Will Be a `Washout'

Malaysia's ringgit, Southeast Asia's second-worst performer in the past three months, will be "a washout'' in 2008 as a growing budget deficit and policy inaction on inflation turn investors away, a think tank said.The ringgit will probably weaken to 3.5 per dollar by year end, Ariff Kareem, executive director of the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research.
